Supporting Information - Your Levy 2008/09 Invoice Explained

This year we have redesigned the back pages of the invoice, called ‘Your Levy Invoice Explained’, which we hope makes it easier to understand the detailed calculation that goes into your invoice.

We encourage you to review this information and the guide booklet before contacting the Pension Protection Fund and/or D&B with any queries about your levy calculation. If you then wish to contact the PPF to discuss your invoice, please quote the scheme name and invoice number shown on the front of the invoice.

If you wish to contact D&B to discuss a failure score, you should also quote the employer’s DUNS number, where appropriate, shown on the ‘Your Levy Invoice Explained’ section of the invoice.

Below are four simple example invoices  for illustrative purposes only.

Example 1:  A single employer scheme with no voluntary certificate data
Example 2:  A multi-employer scheme with a type B contingent asset
Example 3:  A single employer scheme with a deficit-reduction contribution certificate
Example 4:  A single employer scheme with a type A guarantee from a UK parent company
